The Story of Conservation… 6th in our series!

I am so excited to release this global story, publishing on 3 August. Writing The Story of Conservation has been a journey of discovery, research and conversation with help and advice from many experts along the way. It was a dauntingly vast subject to tackle and write in the 15 spreads that this series demands, along a timeline. Together with Steve Williams, co-author in this series and Amy Husband’s wonderful illustrations and the Quarto team, we are now working on the 7th in the series that began with my first book The Story of Life.

Fascinating discussions at the University of Cambridge with Professor Bill Adams (author of the best selling book Against Extinction) and Professor Chris Sandbrook, Professor of Conservation and Society helped build the foundation of this book and I am enormously grateful for their insights, expertise and enthusiasm, I leant so much along the way. I hope you enjoy the journey too - so critical to our future and the future of the extraordinary planet that we so utterly depend on to survive.
